Terror Victim, Speaker, Founder of Shiloh Israel Children's Fund
David's heart-rending story has been captivating audiences around the world. Despite his family's personal trauma, he considers it a privilege to be one of the builders of the Land that the Lord promised to His people. But his path to this point in time was not simple. David grew up in the United States, where he was educated in the New York City public school system and American universities and taught in schools in New York City, on the college, secondary, and elementary levels.
About twenty years ago, while pursuing a doctorate in Education at Columbia University, David simultaneously did extensive research in Jewish history. He began to explore his Biblical roots in depth, leading him to the conclusion that his future was not in the world of American academia, but rather in the hills of the Land of Israel as one the builders of the Land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and to their descendants.
In 1992, David moved to the village of Shiloh, in the heart of what the world media mistakenly refers to as "The West Bank". He built his home and, together with his wife, is raising his growing family on a hilltop overlooking Ancient Shiloh, the first capital of Israel, where Joshua divided the Land among the tribes of Israel, where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years, where the seemingly barren woman Hanna prayed for a son, and where her wish was granted and the son she gave birth to was Samuel, the Prophet.
While serving as mayor, David began to develop productive relationships with Christian Zionists, based on mutual respect and the shared belief that all believers in the Lord need to work together to achieve His purposes in this world.
On December 17, 2001, David and his then three-year-old son were seriously wounded in a vicious shooting attack on their car by Muslim terrorists. They were miraculously saved from death, and out of their wounds and trauma, the Lord has empowered David to go out and deliver his horrificbut inspiring testimony to the world along with the reality of what's happening in the Biblical Heartland.
David has attempted to turn evil into good by establishing the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund to help the children who have been so traumatized by the terrorists' war against Israel. Funds raised to date have been used to provide direct aid to orphans who have lost parents through terrorattacks, for bulletproof vests for children, and to build playgrounds in the pioneering communities that have suffered the most from the terror war against Israel. This is David's way of thanking God for saving him and his son, and honoring the memory of those who have lost their lives as innocent victims in the ongoing struggle for the Land of Israel.
David will be in the USA for a speaking tour from May to early June. Please contact CONNECTIONS at 1-800-728-1779 to schedule him.
