CONNECTING ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH

Upon his arrival at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv the Holy Spirit spoke these words into Barry’s heart, "Barry, you have been on a sojourn all your life and now you have come home." It was at that moment that God gave him a deep love and compassion for Israel and the Jewish people and his life was changed forever.

Since that day in February of 1984 Barry has made seventeen trips to Israel, hosting groups of Christian pilgrims, giving them an opportunity to experience the land as well as helping birth a love for God’s chosen people into their hearts.

Serving as a pastor for twenty-five years, Barry has worked with Christian Friends of Israeli Communities, bringing churches in the Southeastern US and the Caribbean into an adoptive relationship with Jewish settlement communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

Barry’s commitment and love for God’s chosen people has recently taken him into the Ukraine where he spent three months assisting in the evacuation of Jews and taking them by ship to Haifa, Israel in fulfillment of God’s prophetic Word. "These were the richest three months of my ministry" Barry said. He is now a Board member and spokesman for Ezra International, an "aliyah" (returning them home to Israel) ministry to the ‘poorest of the poor’ Jews in the Ukraine and former Soviet Union.

Barry now travels full time sharing with the Body of Christ in the US and Russia what God is doing with the Jews and Israel in these days before the return of Jesus. Communicating God’s mandate to the gentile Church concerning her call to be the instrument in His hands to accomplish His plan for the Jewish people is his greatest desire.

It is important for Believers to understand the prophetic voice of God and begin to fulfill their destiny. "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘See, I will beckon to the Gentiles, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.’" Isaiah 49:22

Barry has found that many pastors, church leaders and Christians around the world don’t really understand that God is fulfilling His prophetic scriptures by re-gathering the Jews from all over the world and especially Russia, "The Land of the North," in the second exodus and bringing them to Israel, the land promised to them through Abraham.
